Frequently Asked Questions

  • Koselig is a Norwegian term used to describe an all-encompassing sense of comfort one experiences when they feel “at home”.

I know how overwhelming + lonely transitional seasons can be. I love journeying alongside my clients through these trying times, helping them feel more koselig in their identity.

  • I provide individual counseling (only to residents of Colorado) and business consulting nationwide. You can learn more about my counseling specialties here + my business consulting services here.

  • An individual 50-minute session (counseling or business consulting) is $150. Acceptable forms of payment include all major debit and credit cards, including FSA/HSA cards.

If you have concerns about being able to afford counseling, I am happy to discuss the possibility of a reduced fee depending on your financial situation. I offer a sliding scale for those with genuine financial need and have a limited number of spots available at any given time. Please speak with me directly if you think you may qualify and would like to fill out an application.

  • I am considered an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance at this time.

However, I can provide you with a superbill, a detailed receipt outlining our work together that you can submit to your health insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

Some insurance policies provide reimbursement, whether partial or full, while others do not.

Please check your coverage carefully by calling your insurance provider (their number can be found on the back of your insurance card under “Members” or “Member Services”) and asking the following questions:

    1. What are my out-of-network healthcare benefits for behavioral health in an outpatient setting?

    2. Do I have to meet a certain deductible before receiving any reimbursement? If so, has it been met?

    3. Is there a copay involved?

    4. What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

    5. How do I submit my superbill?

    6. What does timely filing look like for submitting my superbill?

    7. How will I receive my reimbursement?

  • My office is located near Washington Park at the following address:

    Suite 210

    Denver, CO 80210

If teletherapy is a better option for you, I am able to offer sessions through a HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • I’m available for in-person and virtual sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays.

  • I’d love to! Here is blog post regarding my thoughts on the person of the therapist.

  • I understand that investing in a relationship is a big deal — especially a relationship with a therapist.

I offer complimentary 20 minute phone calls to get to know each other a little and to see if it seems like we would be a good fit before scheduling an initial session.

My goal for you is to find a therapist that you feel safe + known with, and if I’m not the best fit for you, I have a list of incredible referrals I would love to provide you with.

  • For my purposes, there is none. I use the words interchangeably throughout my website.

    I agree, it’s confusing.

  • I have a 48-hour cancellation policy aside from unexpected emergencies. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and have not notified me at least 48 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.

  • Yes, I will provide a Good Faith Estimate for your services upon request. Learn more here.
